The hotel rooms were very standard and on the smaller side for the price; additionally, the added parking fee made the overall stay quite expensive. Despite paying extra for a balcony, higher floor, and water view, the rooms were very basic, lacking a fridge. On the bright side, they were super clean and the bathroom was well-maintained.

6.4/10
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The room I had offered a partial waterview but unfortunately also overlooked noisy heating and AC equipment on the lower level rooftop. Despite the high cost of over $350, the experience was tainted by feeling undervalued as a guest due to issues like having to constantly run in and out for valet parking.
Rooms
5.0
The room had a partial waterview but was marred by the constant noise from heating and AC equipment on the lower level rooftop.
Service
6.0
The service was a rollercoaster. While the front desk and valet were great, there were issues like having to push for a room and being told incorrect parking information upon arrival.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is convenient for accessing the cruise ships and is right across the street from the convention center, but it seems more geared towards families with children than adult groups.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience at First Take was enjoyable, especially for breakfast, offering good value compared to the a la Carte Menu.

7.8/10
The hotel rooms across the bay were really nice and comfortable, although there was an issue with water backing up from the sink and shower, and the lack of a refrigerator was a downside. The service, while generally good, was marred by one individual who lacked charm and was argumentative and rude during check-in. The location was excellent, catering more to families with small children, and was very convenient for our stay. The dining experience at First Take provided delicious meals with amazing views, although service could be slow. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory but no specific comments were provided.

Dining at First Take offered delicious meals with amazing views and close proximity to Amelia Arena. It's recommended to opt for a rate that includes dining. However, there were delays in food delivery to the pool area.

The hotel had a beautiful view but smelled like smoke, and the bed was uncomfortable. The parking situation was inconvenient and pricey, with valet costing $32 per occurrence.
Rooms
5.0
The room had a beautiful view but smelled like smoke, and the Murphy bed had a terrible mattress. The room didn't get cold even when the temperature was reduced to 60 degrees.
Service
8.0
The service was nice, accommodating, and engaging. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and always willing to go the extra mile.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient for our purposes, within walking distance to some great restaurants and right beside the river. Ideal for those who want to explore the Riverwalk and downtown.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was pricey, with a long wait for service by the pool. However, the pecan waffles were excellent, but overall, food prices were steep.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were adequate, but having to park in a garage a block away or pay for valet was inconvenient and expensive.
